Entrance Lawn Bikes, a nonprofit business that teaches children how to establish bicycles, has obtained the old Sarkis Oriental Rug making on Government Street.

The group purchased the house at 4385 Govt Road for $400,000 in a deal that was submitted Friday with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s Business office. The seller was Renovate City Qualities of Baton Rouge. Renovate purchased the property in December 2018 for $350,000 and introduced programs to flip it into a dwell tunes venue.

Dustin LaFont, director of Entrance Garden Bikes, stated the approach is to move the Mid Town retail shop, with any luck , just before summer. The move will not influence the organization’s functions at 700 Terrace St.
